The Landing

3 Bedrooms, sleeps 12. Bedroom 1 is a king-size bed with a small adjacent room with a single bed; Bedroom 2 has a queen-size bed; Bedroom 3 has a double bunk.  Includes 2 full bathrooms, a games room which has 2 single pull-out beds and 1 double pull out bed.  The games room also has a pool table, bar and private hottub.

The Studio

One room that sleeps 3, with a double murphy and pullout and 1 full bath.

The Perch

2 Bedrooms, sleeps 6. First bedroom incluses a queen-size bed, bedroom two has a double bunk with a cot.

Located on the beautiful Shuswap Lake, Blind Bay Hideaway features 9 uniquely styled, modern cottages. Just steps from the lake, our property features a private beach with dock and H20 Trampoline as well as fire pits and hot tub. We are surrounded by numerous amenities including nearby restaurants, golf courses, boat & water sport rentals and hiking & biking trails.

What's Included?



A set of shower towels, hand towels and face clothes are included as well as 4 beach towels per unit. DO NOT strip beds of linens (housekeeping will do that). Please place all used and wet towels in the tub.

Washer, Dryer & Iron

Each unit has its own washer and dryer (except for The Lookout and The Studio, which share the outside access laundry located next to The Studio). Laundry soap and bounce sheets are provided. Also, each unit has an iron and ironing board.

Kitchen Supplies

The kitchen includes dish clothes and tea towels, dish soap and cleaning supplies. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking and eating supplies, including coffee maker, toaster and microwave. There are also basic spices, garbage bags, coffee and other sundry items.


This is a non-smoking property. Smoking is forbidden in the cabins and is only allowed outdoors. Please use ashtrays provided (located on the deck area). As we are in an area that is susceptible to forest fires, be aware that throwing cigarettes on the ground is forbidden and punishable by law if a fire occurs.


No pets are permitted on the property unless prior approval has been given. Upon pet approval there is a one time $50 pet fee. A $500 fine can be enforced and charged if you bring a pet without permission.


There is no daily housekeeping service. All beds will be made with clean linens and blankets upon arrival and extra clean linens are included in the unit, maid service however is not. Cleaning supplies are available in the unit, if required.

Private Deck

Each unit has its own private deck with a patio table and a BBQ.

BBQ Propane Tanks

Full propane tanks are provided for you unless you are in the new units up top as they are plumbed in with gas.



Fires are permitted at designated fire pit areas on the property and the beach. Please be sure to comply with any local fire bans or restrictions. Please check for current restrictions.


The units are equipped with wireless internet and a Bluetooth speaker in each unit.

Cable TV

The units are equipped with wireless cable TV.


A DVD player and remotes are supplied. $60 charge for any lost or broken remotes.




There is parking space for 1 vehicle per unit (except for The Landing, which has space for 2 vehicles.)

Arrangements can be made to reserve additional spaces in the overflow parking, as well as for storage of boat trailers during your stay. Arrangements MUST be made prior to your arrival.

Dock & Beach

There is a private dock for our guest’s use. The private dock is NOT to be used as a buoy to tie up your boat. Three buoys are provided for use during your stay on a first come first serve basis. There are nearby marinas to moor your at boat. The beach is equipped with picnic tables and fire pit.

Quiet Hours

The property is shared by 9 separate units as well as neighboring property owners. Outdoor noise should be at a minimum after 10:00 pm. There is a common hot tub area and fire pit located on the upper portion of the property, so please respect surrounding units when using.

You will be provided with a digital code for a lock box, located to the left of the door containing a key for your unit prior to your arrival. There is no care taker on site. If you have any questions or concerns upon your arrival or during your stay, please call either Victoria (250) 253-5600 or Brad (250) 833-6680.


Upon check out all garbage is to be placed into the big garbage bin outside and recycling into the recycling containers. All dishes should be washed and put away. Please place dirty towel in the laundry area. A general sweep and wipe of the unit should be done.

Damage Deposit & Cancellations

Damage Deposit

A credit card pre-authorization of $500 will be held for damage deposit. This will be removed once the unit has been inspected after check out to make sure no items are missing and no damage has been done to the unit beyond normal wear and tear.




A 30 day notice is required for cancellation to receive deposit back, a 50$ processing fee will be applied. (May vary through Air BnB or VRBO bookings). Refunds will not be made to tenants leaving earlier than scheduled departure date.

  • Travel west on the Trans-Canada Highway through Salmon Arm.
  • Travel approximately 26 km west of Salmon Arm until you reach Balmoral Road.
  • Turn right at the Balmoral Gas Station.
  • After 3 km you will pass a Shell Station on the right side of road.
  • Balmoral Road will become Eagle Bay Road.
  • Travel another 3 km from the Shell Station and look for the Blind Bay Hideaway sign on the right-hand side of the road.

Find Blind Bay Hideaway From Vancouver via Kamloops:

  • From Kamloops follow the Trans-Canada Highway east through Chase and Sorrento
  • Continue past Shuswap Lake Estates Golf Course
  • Turn left at the next intersection onto Balmoral Road (at Balmoral Gas Station).
  • After 3 km you will pass a Shell Station on the right side of road.
  • Balmoral Rd will become Eagle Bay Road.
  • Travel another 3 km from the Shell Station and look for the Blind Bay Hideaway sign on the right-hand side of the road.

About Brad Long & Victoria Fox

Looking for a long-term investment and to create a lifestyle they loved, the Foxy Longs purchased Blind Bay Hideaway in 2016 and then further expanded its offerings in 2017.
